Monster Maze Millenium
Welcome to the prototype release of Monster Maze Millenium! This is a VR survival-horror experience set inside a stone labyrinth stalked by a very real Tyrannosaurus Rex.
To escape the maze, you’ll need to find and activate the exit portal, but first you’ll need to locate the switch hidden somewhere in the maze. The Rex is not your only obstacle—you’ll have to rely on stealth, timing, and distraction to survive.
Two Maze Environments:
- Open Maze: Daylight mode with wider corridors—ideal for learning the game mechanics.
- Dark Halls: A pitch-black version with only a flashlight to light your way. Scarier. Much scarier.
Tips for Survival:
- Keep still: Rex’s vision is based on movement. If you freeze when he’s near, you might be spared.
- Use distractions: Pick up and throw skulls to lure the Rex away from your path.
- Be alert: Sometimes Rex will jumpscare you, appearing out of nowhere. Sometimes it won’t be Rex…
This is just the beginning. More monsters, traps, environments and challenges are on the way. Let us know what you think! hello@wearedinosaurs.uk
Controls are:
Left thumbstick: move forward/back, strafe left/right
Right thumbstick: rotate left/right
Left trigger: Run/Walk
There’s code in there for teleport movement and snap rotation, but I’ve disabled those for now. On the Option screen there’s a switch to allow a physical movement method, where you travel in the direction you’re looking by swinging your arms like some deranged speed walker. Great cardio, especially when there’s a dinosaur chasing you.
UPDATE: You can also play the PC version without a VR headset!
